About Us
American Flavor Company was founded in 2025 by father-and-son duo Nick and Alek Kessler, in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. What started as a shared passion for great food and authentic flavor has grown into a family business built on creativity, craftsmanship, and the love of bringing people together around the table.
Nick’s journey began in 2016 when he launched the travel TV show Road Trip Masters, where he explored small towns across America; discovering local restaurants, meeting chefs, and learning the secrets behind regional flavors. Along the way, Nick developed a deep passion for cooking and smoking foods, blending the techniques and tips he picked up from kitchens all over the country.
A few years later, Alek graduated from Gettysburg College with a degree in Business, Organizations, and Management. With his fresh understanding of entrepreneurship and operations and his father’s growing love for creating rubs and sauces, the idea for American Flavor Company was born.
Together, Nick and Alek combined culinary experience and business know-how to craft a line of dry rubs, barbecue sauces, and seasonings inspired by America’s rich regional traditions. Every blend tells a story of smoke, spice, and the places that make American cooking truly one of a kind.
